Who is putting an air admittance valve (cheater valve) on the main plumbing stack of their passive house homes? One 8 meter long plumbing stack with 50mm of insulation in Edmonton Canada results in 170kWh/year in energy loss or $25 of electricity/year, based on the PHPP auxiliary calculation rain water pipe. Are there any air admittance valves available in Canada or are people importing them from Europe?

Where am I?

Frank, in Alaska I have found them at Home Depot or Lowes. I have not used them myself  so I do not know their quality.
